Dr. Shedid is currently an associate professor in the structural engineering department at Ain Shams University and the head and director of MSCE consulting engineering. Marwan served as a National Expert at the Cabinet of Ministers in 2015-2016 following up on national projects executed in Egypt. Dr. Shedid is a consultant engineer in the filed of Reinforced Concrete Structures and held a P.Eng. Licence in Ontario Canada. He is a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers and was a member of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers. He is also a reviewer in ASCE Structures and ASCE performance of constructed facilities as well as Elsevier Engineering Structures and Elsevier Ain Shams Journal of Engineering. Marwan is currently volunteering in the engineering committee at Heliopolis Sporting Club in Cairo. Dr. Shedid has over 15 years of experience in the filed of structural analysis, design and construction of RC structures as well as repair and strengthening of existing damaged buildings.
