Fatma Newagy received her BSc. in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering, Cairo University in 1998. She received the M.Sc. and PhD, both degrees in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2002 and 2008 respectively. Dr. Newagy worked as an assistant professor in Cairo University since 2008 till 2011, assistant professor from 2011 till 2016 and Associated Professor from 2017 till now in Ain Shams University . She also taught several courses in wireless communications, advanced digital communications and cognitive radio. Dr. Newagy was a member of several research groups. Her current research interest focuses on advanced methods of channel coding, Cognitive radio networks and their security and 5G mobile communications
