DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL POWER ENGINEERING

The Mechanical Power Engineering Department is considered as one of the oldest departments in the Faculty. The study in the department aims at preparing the students to face the new challenges in the new technology in the field of mechanical power engineering; by providing them with the basic theories in the engineering science; in addition to the new developments in science which coincide with the developments plans in Egypt and with the GATT. The major branches in the department can be classified as follows: Combustion, Power plants, Heat transfer, Thermal structures, Thermodynamics, Mechatronics, Automatic control, Refrigeration and air conditioning, Renewable energy, Fluid dynamics, Aerodynamics, Internal combustion engines and Environmental concerns.
